Set along Bellary Road at the edge of the Outer Ring Road, the Elara Celestia landscape narrative describes a modern residential enclave. It is a design language rooted in movement, connection, and nature.

Developed for L&T Realty, the landscape framework enhances the architectural concept inspired by the rain tree. Its branching logic, organic roots, and canopy transitions shape spaces across ground, mid-level gardens, and rooftop environments.

The result is a cohesive, biophilic setting that strengthens community living while setting a new benchmark for premium apartments in Bangalore.

Construction of Elara Celestia is currently underway.

Landscape as a Strategic Response

The site posed clear challenges: noise from a busy frontage, adjacency to a commercial façade, and restricted southern views.

The landscape system responds through layered buffers, elevated berms, and curated view corridors oriented toward parkland and the city edge. These strategies complement architectural massing techniques, guiding circulation with fluid pathways that echo wind patterns and rain tree geometry.

Together, they transform contextual constraints into a serene, interconnected ground plane.

Ground-Level Experience

Elara Celestia Landscape - zoning strategy

The ground floor landscape is structured into distinct yet fluid realms: landscaped gardens, wellness spaces, play zones, and social pockets.
Key zones include:

  • Arrival Zone: A generous threshold defined by greenery, canopy shading, and intuitive pedestrian flow.
  • Urban Forest Courtyard: A lush, activity-rich space featuring play areas, seating pockets, and community lounges.
  • Wellness Core: Anchored by a tranquil swimming pool, yoga deck, and shaded retreats for daily rejuvenation.
  • Green Boundary: Sporting courts and fitness corners set within dense planting, forming an active recreational buffer.

These zones create an integrated living environment aligned with modern expectations of gated communities.

Sky Gardens & Rooftop Retreat

Vertical transitions extend the landscape upward into immersive landscaped courtyards and sky gardens, where wooden decks, planted terraces, and panoramic balconies offer restorative outdoor rooms. At the rooftop, a resort-style environment unfolds – featuring an Infinity pool, lounge terraces, and a fully equipped fitness deck.

These elevated landscapes enhance long-distance views while reinforcing biophilic architecture throughout the residential apartment project.

Materiality, Lighting & Softscape Identity

Softscape layers reference the rain tree’s branching logic, using signature species to mark entrances and frame communal areas. Hardscape zones shift in texture to differentiate movement, gathering, and water-related spaces.

A calm, indirect lighting strategy preserves privacy while illuminating circulation, creating a refined ambience across day and night.

A Resort-Like Landscape for Bangalore

With its flowing geometry, nature-anchored spatial logic, and state-of-the-art amenities, the landscape of Elara Celestia enhances everyday life while reinforcing the project’s architectural vision.

Surrounded by park views, connected to a nearby metro station, and shaped by fluid, biophilic transitions, Elara Celestia stands as an exclusive, resort-inspired environment. One of Bangalore’s most elevated gated communities and a landscape-driven benchmark for contemporary living in India.
