Argenteria is a challenging case study from our Barcelona portfolio. The challenge is in the task of refurbishing a 2,83 meter narrow building. This project captures the essence of our problem-solving thought process and was an interesting challenge for our team.

A single-family apartment building, spread throughout three floors and a ground level access, located in the narrowing streets of Barcelona’s Old Town. With each level carrying a room with a diverse function, the space was redesigned for optimal comfort.

With this project we explore how the choice of materials for a small space affects our perception and experience within it. The treatment and approach to materiality, space distribution and function, were all focused on maximizing the use and perception of the limited space.
