SOG design have been invited to participate in an international competition where we were asked to design the first plot of the new Baietan CBD area in Guangzhou; and we had the honor to compete against other well renowned international firms such as Aedas, Kaan architecten, DMC and Gerber.
The prime location of this site will define the future waterfront of the entire CBD. Our proposal divides the office program into 3 different iconic towers facing the Pearl River waterfront creating an activated opened square on ground level, which is directly connected to the linear river park.
The first two floors and Basement 1 level will be dedicated to retail, while the 3 towers are connected by an elevated sky bridge hosting the common facilities for the office users
