The client was looking for a contemporary design 5* Hotel with 537 rooms with a big conference center Hall. All the rooms should have views to the sea.

The position in a perpendicular to the sea allows all the rooms to have views of the Hainan Island coast. With a subtle turn of the main block of rooms appear a central yard where we place a high reception and lobby area. Due to the high level of humidity in the island the lobby and the main circulation areas should be opened allowing the air circulation.

As a mixed-use masterplan, the development comprises a large retail mall, street retail shops, 11 Residential towers, 3 office towers and a mixed-use tower that includes service apartments and a hotel. It will become a destination for the city through public transport and a destination for the neighborhood through pedestrian networks.
