Guangzhou Hot Spring Ragaz is located in the new Guangzhou Gonghua hot springs health valley territory. The main challenge is due to the natural accentuate topography of the site. The building will need to merge naturally within this context.

The massing of the building need to follows the natural condition of the site. A series of 4 blocks containing the hotel rooms interlock with 2 main cores as joint piece.

Breaking the hotel volume in 4 blocks allow a more integrated presence of the building within its surrounding. The hotel blocks are double loaded allowing open views to the surrounding mountains and valley. The material used are stone for the podium of the hotel, timber screens and concrete frame.
