We are excited to announce the successful completion of the Great World City Office AEI. This project redefines the visitor and occupant experience within one of Singapore’s most recognised mixed-use developments.

The newly refurbished office lobby marries architectural elegance with a human-centred design, setting a new standard for corporate sophistication while honouring the development’s rich legacy. This revitalisation is perfectly timed with the opening of the Great World MRT Station in 2022, which has significantly improved accessibility to Great World City. The enhanced connectivity has not only increased foot traffic but has also heightened the demand for nearby residential and commercial properties, making the renovation essential for aligning with modern expectations.

With the refurbishment, we aimed to modernise the lobby while retaining its distinctive indoor-outdoor character. Emphasising natural light and ventilation, we introduced biophilic elements that create an inviting atmosphere for both occupants and visitors. This thoughtful redesign fosters a sense of well-being in a bustling workplace, enhancing the overall vibrancy brought by the MRT station’s presence.

In our approach, we carefully maintained the lobby’s unique structure while enhancing its spatial quality. Natural light permeates the space, and greenery envelops visitors, reinforcing the bond between the built environment and nature. The introduction of plants invigorates the lobby, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Our design solution focuses on an updated material palette that reflects timeless elegance. Existing wall elements have been replaced with natural limestone, complemented by sleek metal inlays. This subtle yet sophisticated detailing introduces a sense of luxury and tranquillity that resonates throughout the space.

Strategically placed public seating areas around the central lobby encourage interaction and provide moments of pause. The redesigned plaza seamlessly connects the shopping, public, and office zones of Great World City, cultivating a vibrant and cohesive community atmosphere.

This project signifies more than just a refurbishment; it marks a new chapter for Great World City, where timeless materials, biophilic principles, and refined design converge to elevate the daily experiences of tenants, visitors, and the broader community. Our revitalisation efforts align perfectly with the area’s growing appeal, offering a cohesive experience that integrates the transit hub, shopping mall, and office spaces.
