What Will You Do?
We seek a highly motivated Interior Designer to join our team in Singapore. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the SOG design lead on various design and build projects across Singapore and the Asia Pacific while supporting the expansion of our interior design capabilities.
As an Interior Designer, you will be accountable for creating design work for architectural projects. Your duties will include assisting with preparing presentations, 3D modeling, graphics, and visual documents to effectively communicate design ideas and project concepts to clients.
Your responsibilities:
- Responsible for producing architectural working drawings, including all details for architectural interior projects.
- Delivers high-quality design work, demonstrating creative and innovative thinking.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the design process and project brief, supporting. the preparation of the project deliverables and other activities related to the project development.
- Deliver high-quality work with limited guidance, demonstrating developed technical and/or design skills.
- Act as a team player, actively seeking feedback and demonstrating a positive attitude towards work and team activities.
- Support company-wide initiatives and proactively seek feedback.
- Respond positively towards clients and consultants.
- Provide support to senior team members with client presentations and meetings as required.
- Recognise the project budget’s importance and seek to develop their knowledge of project financials.
- Maintain/organise project files, schedules and specifications.
- Work with the entire team, in the office and with outside consultants.
- Proficient time management to facilitate working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in a related design field or hold equivalent certification; professional registration is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in computer applications commonly used within your discipline – Revit is essential.
- Well-versed in developing architectural visualisations.
- A talented designer with a portfolio that showcases excellent creativity and innovative thinking.
- Experience successfully delivering large-scale projects through all work stages within APAC regions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (including formal and informal presentations, written communications and reports).
- Fluent in spoken and written English is a must!
- Able to work collaboratively or with autonomy as required.
- Ability to relate and work well with people at all levels within the team, in the broader office and externally with clients.
- Ability to maintain personal effectiveness and team relationships at times of significant pressure.
- Proactive but tactful in ensuring others within the team meet deadlines.
- Organised and able to effectively prioritise even when demands are significant.
- Organised, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, fast-paced team player.
- Strong technical and practical CAD skills with an understanding of architectural conventions, including floor plans, elevations and sections.
- Experience and interest in traditional and modern detailing.
- Strong understanding of and proficiency in producing all schedules.
