As a redevelopment project situated in one of Mumbai’s most prestigious enclaves, the design for Rustomjee Crescent required a response that was both modern in its architectural sensibilities and timeless in its sophistication. These luxury apartments are for today’s urban elite.

The architectural language reflects this sensibility. It is inspired by a conceptual motif, The Shards. The façade is defined by a rhythmic interplay of fine vertical fins and continuous linear elements. These details visually elongate the tower’s form, reduce perceived mass, and create texture across the elevation.

To match the calibre of its residents and setting, we specified high-grade materials that blend aesthetics with performance. Eco-friendly construction materials were incorporated, ensuring that the building’s visual refinement also aligns with sustainable values.

The result is a distinctive vertical identity that enhances the skyline while offering a refined expression of luxury living.

Being near the bustling Bandra Junction, Rustomjee Crescent negotiates the demands of city life with the sensibilities of refined residential design. One of the key challenges was ensuring that lower-level apartments, which border an active street edge, could still offer the experience of a private sanctuary.

Our response was a carefully layered façade strategy. A fine-grain curtain wall system acts as a visual filter, allowing soft daylight while minimising glare and street visibility. This approach preserves interior tranquillity without sacrificing openness, maintaining the high standards expected of a luxury residence.

The podium was conceived as a strong architectural base and a spatial threshold — grounding the development while discreetly concealing four levels of basement infrastructure. The verticality of the wings above this podium is accentuated with bronze-toned aluminium C-channels, grey granite cladding, and warm timber ceiling panels. The overall material palette was selected for its tactile richness and timelessness.

Rustomjee Crescent, a 20-storey landmark in Pali Hill, embodies prestige and proportion. From afar, it appears monolithic. Up close, its rich façade reveals muted tones, deep recesses, and open balconies that enhance the dynamic interplay of light and shadow.

The experience of Crescent is defined by its landscaped gardens. They rise vertically and culminate in rooftop retreats that integrate with the existing tree canopy. These green spaces offer a sense of privacy and serenity.

From above, the Sky Pool offers residents a rare vantage point. A tranquil oasis suspended above Mumbai’s skyline, pairing resort-grade leisure with dramatic views of the Arabian Sea. It is one of several modern amenities that elevate daily life, blending wellness, community, and quiet luxury into the very fabric of the architecture.
